Luke 22:40

If I pray always, then I will not enter into temptation too powerful for me to overcome.

I have always been told that things won't be too much for me to bear. I always used to think that I just wouldn't have any trials that would come to me that I couldn't overcome. But then I wondered (I have thought of this a lot) why, if we don't have trials more than we can bear, it is that some people give in and succumb to the pressure? Why do some people throw everything away for addictions too strong for them if we aren't given too-hard-to-manage trials? But then I thought about how we can't overcome anything really hard without help (Help being the key word here). Alone, and in a tough place, we can't hope to overcome anything. We need our savior and His infinite atonement to help us on our path. We can overcome temptation if we pray and read our scriptures daily. We can do it if we plead for the help of our Savior who loves us and knows what we are going through more than anyone else. We need to trust in Him, and we CAN overcome these crippling temptations! We can do it, (and He can help!!).
